Gbemi Disu is in her final trimester at ThunderbirdñThe Garvin School of International Management. She is currently pursuing an MBA in International Management with a focus in Global Marketing/Brand Management and International Development.

This Nigerian native is multilingual and obtained her BS in Economics and International Business with minors in Communications and Womenís Studies from Arizona State University prior to attending Thunderbird. She also spent time studying abroad in Italy, Greece, Croatia, and at Cambridge University in the U.K.

Prior to Thunderbird, Gbemi worked on the Appropriations Committee with the Arizona State Legislature. Most recently, this past summer, she was selected as one of three MBA students nationwide to launch a new global management development program in Africa with Chevron Texaco. During this assignment she teamed up with top management to deploy a plan to improve the retail marketing sales volume by 25 percent.

Between her studies, Gbemi launched the first campus-wide community service program (Thunderbird Cares Day), which serves members of the local Phoenix and Glendale Community. She also is a part of the Thunderbird Student Government working with a team of great students to improve the living and learning environment on campus.

Upon graduation, Gbemi would like to pursue a marketing career with a multinational company that shares her strong commitment to diversity, innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
